Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is the reality that God is powerful beyond all measure. It is His light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be used by God? Actually who are we not to be? Pretending that we cannot be used does not serve the world. There’s nothing righteous about hiding our relationship with Him so that other people won’t feel uncomfortable around us. We are meant to have Him shine through us, as His children we should…and His salvation not just offered to us; it is for everyone. And as we let our light shine, we show others the way to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, we display His presence to others.
-Adaptation from Marianne Williamson’s quote from A Return to Love.
